When dealing with weather cancellations and delays we make every effort to balance your class needs with your safety and well being. Below are answers to some key questions to help you understand how to proceed with your groups and classes when it snows.
How will I know if my class taking place? We use the Arlington, Brookline and Needham school systems as a guide when considering whether to cancel classes in each respective center, but please check the Web site or call the centers the day of your class to confirm. If there is a class cancellation, we’ll also do our best to notify all class participants by phone.
Can I make-up a class that was cancelled due to inclement weather? Please see below for our guidelines on make-up sessions for missed classes due to inclement weather. Please know that we are committed to your education and will make every effort for you to make-up any weather-related missed class. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds.
New Moms Groups If Isis Maternity cancels one of these class sessions due to weather, we will schedule one make-up class to take place at the end of the series. If there is more than one snow cancellation in a series, we will provide a prorated class credit to be applied toward any future class. Classes include:
Child Development Classes and Child Activity Classes If Isis Maternity cancels one of these class sessions due to weather, you may make it up by dropping into another class session of the same class type. Classes include:
One Day Classes If Isis Maternity cancels a single-session class due to weather, we will offer you the option of switching into another scheduled class of the same type. If there are not enough spaces in upcoming classes, we will make every effort to add a class to accommodate you. Classes include:
Multi-Week Childbirth Education Classes If Isis Maternity cancels one of the classes in a childbirth series due to weather, we will add a make-up class at the end of the series. If more than one class is cancelled due to weather, the instructor will work directly with the class to either start earlier or end later for the remaining class sessions. The instructors will also condense the content to fit the remaining classes. Classes include:
