Tours - Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

Isis Maternity provides tours of the BIDMC maternity ward free of charge to clients delivering there. Please note that all childbirth education classes at the hospital already include a tour. Siblings may tour the postpartum unit +with their parents but +not the labor and delivery unit. Tours are limited during flu season (see note below). If a tour is canceled due to inclement weather we will place a notice on the home page of our website.

Please review the tour dates below and select the tour you wish to take. You will be taken to a registration form where you can sign up and receive a confirmation. This tour meets at the east campus of BIDMC – 330 Brookline Ave. in the main lobby of the Feldberg Building.

Note: BIDMC wants to safeguard the mothers and babies at the medical center and are trying to limit any possible exposures to cold and flu-like infections. Any visitor coming in has to be well and if not then they need to postpone their visit. Hand washing is the most effective way of reducing risk of infection transmission so all who do visit are encouraged to use the dispensers inside and outside of our rooms. Children who are not siblings and are under the age of 12 are not permitted to visit. Siblings of the newborn babies will be screened at the desk. The sibling should postpone their visit if they are currently experiencing a temperature of 100.0 or greater and/or showing signs of illness.
