Second Time Moms

Have you recently welcomed your second baby into the family? We have a special group just for you: A six week series for moms to attend with their new babies (ages approx. 1-5 months).

Enjoy some dedicated time with your new baby, reviewing all of the most helpful young-baby info, tips and tricks that have faded from memory since your first child was an infant.We’ll start each week with Infant Massage and Circle Time songs, gentle bounces and fingerplays, while including developmental information and ideas. Guided discussions focus on the issues women find challenging when juggling life with a new baby and an older child, with an emphasis on sharing ideas and problem solving. Planned topics include: coping with two differing needs for meals, naps, bedtimes and outings, keeping both children safe and occupied, maternal guilt, sibling rivalry and ways to foster cooperation. Childcare, childproofing, dealing with illness, spending special time with your older child, traveling with two in tow and other relevant topics will be selected and discussed by the participants.

If you loved your Great Beginnings and/or Next Step Baby Group with your first child, you’ll find the same friendship and learning here, with the added camaraderie of a group of peers who also have an infant and an older child. This group is for mothers and infants (approx. 1 – 5 months). Please make care arrangements for older siblings.
