Cecilia M.  MA

Cecilia has been with Isis Parenting since the Spring of 2006 teaching all of the Developmental Playgroups. Cecilia is a Child Development Specialist with many years of experience in the field. Prior to Isis, Cecilia was a Faculty member at the Brazelton Institute of Children's Hospital, Boston. Cecilia’s research and teaching responsibilities included leading a study about early signs of temperament and training medical residents and professionals on the Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale, a newborn assessment tool developed by renowned pediatrician T. Berry Brazelton. Also before Isis Parenting, Cecilia worked as a Child Development Specialist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Her clinical responsibilities included assessing infants and toddlers who had been born premature and supporting their families by addressing concerns and celebrating developmental milestones. Cecilia has a Masters Degree in Child Development from Tufts University with a focus on Clinical Developmental Psychology. She also completed Psychology School at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, her birthplace. Cecilia has experience teaching Spanish to children and developed the Isis Spanish curriculum. Cecilia’s passion has always been interacting and understanding young children and, since she became a mother herself, her passion has expanded to supporting those young children's families. Cecilia is the proud mother of two wonderful girls who are 7 and 9 years old.
